Well everyone, I’m excited to say that I just finished my Naughty November submission to Cobblestone Press. It ended up being about 17k So, hopefully in the next couple of months I’ll find out if it will be included in their NN line

I posted about this on another group and it occurred to me, some of you might like to know how I got my penname

Okay, well AJ isn’t my real name. *shush* As a lot of erotic writers do, not all I’m sure, I use a fake name to protect my identity. Not that there is much to protect.  So, I wanted to pick a name that would suit me. I chose AJ cause… I always liked boyish names.

I chose Hampton because two of my favorite authors are Charlaine Harris & Laurell Hamilton. If - scratch that - when I make it in a library or book store, I wanted to be sandwiched between them Lucky for me, my first novel went POD, but unlucky for me, I don’t think its in book stores yet. But, you can buy it online, so thats something right? A start I tell you, a start.

But, I now realize the error of my ways. For some reason, AJ translates *for reasons beyond me* to A.J. Where the periods came in, I’ll never know. So, sometimes when you search for AJ you don’t find me cause its under A.J.  Its rather annoying, but, what can you do right? You should hear my publisher when I rant about it to her.

“Yes AJ, we all know how to spell it…”

So, I’m sure you all just got a lot more information then you bargained for!!

I’d be interested in learning how other authors with fake names came up with theirs!! So, spill!! Leave a comment!
